To Whom It May Concern:
Carlisle Elementary School students will have the opportunity to participate in Ocean Camp at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (www.imms.org) which is located in Gulfport, Mississippi. Listed below is our sample itinerary:
Day 1-Get unpacked at dorms. Have some time to explore the beach as a group.
Day 2 – Biloxi Aquarium
Day 3 – IMMS (museum tour, Discovery Room – featuring touch pools full of sharks and stingrays, a live reptile encounter, and a dolphin feeding presentation
Day 4 –We load the Ship Island Ferry and spend the day exploring Historic Ship Island!
Day 5- a.m. will be spent at a gator ranch with an airboat swamp tour
The cost of this trip will be $750.00 per student. This cost will include the following:
- All program fees
- Charter bus fees
- Dinner at a local seafood restaurant
- All meals while on trip (except breakfast first day)
- Six custom designed shirts
- Custom designed drawstring bag with embroidered or screen-printed name
- Boat fees
- Dormitory fees
We have many students who will be unable to afford this trip without the help of sponsors. Any amount that you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will help send a student to camp. All sponsors will have their name printed on the back of all students’ camp shirts. Donations collected after February 28, 2024, will have their names printed on next year’s shirts. Money can be mailed directly to the school at 707 East Fifth Street, Carlisle, AR 72024. Please mark to the attention of Sommer Goodrich. Checks should be made out to Carlisle Elementary School.
